Contribute To Our Hurricane Ida Relief Efforts

From our Senior Pastor David Bendett
"Just got off the phone with a pastor in Theroit, LA. This is 20 miles from Houma in the Bayou. As most of you know, this area was devastated by Hurricane Ida.
The pastor and his congregation from Bayou Dularge Church are working night and day to help families that have lost everything, or are barely standing. Currently thousands of people are without running water, power, or a roof over their head.
Rock City Church keeps an ongoing disastor relief fund readily available to help in times like this. We also partner with other ministries that put boots on the ground in hard hit areas.
Here is how you can help: The most important need they have right now is man-power. If you can assist a team or lead a team of men to help with the clean up or rebuild, please DM Rock City Church personally and we will pass your information along.
Next, they need toiletries, cleaning supplies, (specificallly bleach) and easy meals. If you have a the ability to take take a trailer with supplies, please let me know. We will load you up.
And finally, you can give financially and we will pass all the funds along to a trusted and verified ministry doing the work. You can give to our Hurricane Ida relief fund by selecting "Hurricane Ida - Relief Fund" in the drop down after clicking the Give Now button.
Thank you for taking the time and sacrifice to help others in this desperate time of need. I have been there myself many times"

The Heart Behind Giving

Rock City Church believes giving is another form of worship unto the Lord.

Generous giving is a Kingdom Principle that the Lord established Himself long ago that has a promised blessing that we cannot contain attached to it as we are faithful to give back to the Lord a portion of what he has given to us.

There is one place in scripture that the Lord tells us to test Him — our finances.

In Malachi Chapter 3 verse 10 The Lord says, "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."

What happens when were generous givers?
2 Corinthians 9:6-8
"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
